If you’ve been on Pinterest lately, you are sure to come across a variety of summer cocktail recipes to serve up at upcoming summer soirees. This summer sangria recipe has been a favorite with our customers for years. This is a major hit at weddings, but you could whip it up at your next family get-together or BBQ with friends.

Not only is it tasty, but it is bright and colorful, and an easy way to add a pop of festive color to your event. We are big fans of incorporating paper straws (pictured above) with the beverage.

So how do you make the Perfect sangria? Check out the recipe below!

Ingredients You Will Need:

– 2 bottles sweet wine (such as Chenin Blanc or Riesling)

-250 ml Lemon Juice

-3 cups Simple Syrup

-Ripe peaches, apples, grapes, and grapefruit (diced)

-Sliced oranges (laterally sliced and thin for garnish)

The Process

Combine two bottles of sweet wine with 250mL of lemon juice and three cups of simple syrup. Make sure to whisk the syrup in so it will blend with the juice base. Add the diced fruit and let sit for up to an hour, the longer the better. Also, the riper the fruit the better transfer of flavor to your sangria. If the fruit is not ripe it may remain hard and less flavorful which will result in a bland sangria.

When you are ready to serve this delicious summer sangria, add one bottle of your preferred dry champagne.

Enjoy!
